Diet before and after guidelines

Before and after raw guidelines to help you plan your journey and then integrate it once you are back home

It is of utmost importance to your health, safety and your forthcoming experience that you follow the diet guidelines as described below for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your journey. We cannot stress enough that your experiences in ceremony can be directly correlated to how diligently you follow the food and behavior diets that we suggest. These diet guidelines are directly from the Shipibo and Wiler specifically who are the experts in the field of successful work with Ayahuasca.

Pre booking

1 on 1 Booking Consultation The way that we’ve chosen to write the content of our website was with the aim to provide future clients and those simply browsing alike, an abundance of information to preemptively answer any questions you may have. While you can always reach out via e-mail, we know that sometimes it’s nice to connect with another human being “live” to help support you in making the decision to visit our center and to entrust us with arguably the most important journey of your life. As such, we wanted to extend an extra service to anyone who wants to speak with our intake coordinator directly via Skype /Wasapp. Please send us an e-mail through the Contact page and let us know what dates/times work best for you in EST and we will be in touch to schedule a 1 on 1 consultation to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Pre journey

1 on 1 Pre-Journey Session As a part of your pre-journey preparations, we are pleased to offer each participant a complementary 30minute session with Plant Medicine Integrationist and Focused Coach. In this conversation, you will navigate your fears and replace them with desires, confidence and above all clarity for the transformation you are about to undergo. Intention settings are going to happen while you are at the center with our facilitators and Wiler, before you start drinking the medicine. Once you have booked your retreat with Ayahuasca Spirit Healing Center, if you demand, we will give you the coach details and you can book your session with him/her, which should be scheduled 1-2 weeks prior to your departure.

Post journey

1 on 1 Integration Session & Beyond (Post Journey) As we have already mentioned, it is our belief that the integration component to your overall healing and successful experience with Ayahuasca Spirit Healing Center is extremely important. As such, we encourage you to book an integration session with a Plant Medicine Integrationist. We are happy to recommend you one if you so wish. In this session, you will spend time discussing how integration has been going so far; the highs the lows, the successes and the struggles. Then, you will move into a powerful coaching session which concludes with an action plan and tangible steps on how to sustain the change that you experienced whilst in the jungle. Your integration session can be booked on demand, with one of our staff members, normally is to be scheduled 2-3 weeks after your return home. All you have to do is ask us.

Dietary recommendations

Before coming to our center we would like to give you some tips on your diet, so that your experience here with us, is as pleasantly as possible. It is of utmost importance to your health, safety and your forthcoming experience, that you follow the diet guidelines as described below, for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your journey. We cannot stress enough that your experiences in ceremony can be directly correlated to how diligently you follow the food and behavior diets that we suggest. These diet guidelines are directly from the Shipibo and Wiler specifically who are the experts in the field of successful work with Ayahuasca

    • If you’re taking antidepressants, antibiotics or anti-anxiety pills you need to stop taking them at least 10 days before we meet. This is because they interact with the Ayahuasca and you will not be able to see the real power of the Ayahuasca medicine.
    • If you smoke marijuana, drink alcohol or you like to enjoy the pleasures of MDMA, LSD, or any kind of drugs, we recommend that you stop using them, at least two weeks before coming. (Marijuana is a powerful medicine however which blocks the effects of Ayahuasca))
    • Also we recommend you to lower the dose of prefabricated sweets (donuts, cakes, etc.), any fried products, plus pork and red meet.
    • No salt, no sugar and no spicy foods
    • No coffee, monster red bull or any caffeine products. This will help in your ayahausca journey a lot.
    • We recommend also that you try to eat healthier foods, which your body will embrace and love, but will also benefit your ayahuasca experience (vegetables, fruits, rice, pasta, etc.).
    • No sex , no masturbation
    • Try to have a very healthy lifestyle at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival and 2 weeks after your journey with us.

Ayahausca and plant diets

If you are interested in taking the next step to deepen your understanding and relationship with plant medicines in addition to working with Ayahusca, you may consider one of our all-inclusive packages. You will experience everything listed in the Ayahuasca Retreat’s, plus you will be given a plant to diet .

Pairing a plant diet in conjunction with Ayahusaca ceremonies will open you up to healing at an even greater level both in and out of ceremonies. This diet will include a strict diet of chicken/fish, rice and plantane for the most part and is far more restrictive than a regular Ayahausca diet. This is necessary when dieting a plant so as to allow for the full healing effects of the plant medicine to take place.

Please note that pasajeros will be able to part take in ceremonies or any other medicines we work with, after their diet opens and once again 2 days after their diet closes. If Ayahuasca alone is step 1 in the healing process and an isolation diet is step 3, this is a happy medium/step 2 for those ready for a slightly more challenging (but rewarding) experience.
